Despite my reservations regarding tag clouds and their aesthetics, I realized there was no easy way to browse this site for specific content, so I’ve added a tag cloud below the Recent Comments box. If you hate it, let me know–I can explore other ways of making the site easier to navigate.

Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer has a blog post about the online action figure collecting community, explaining why they recently banned a forum member (I don’t know who, nor does it matter). It occurred to me that I’ve been a member of said community for nearly ten years now (fifteen if you count my early days on [...]

Now that both Christmas and my birthday are over and done with, it’s time to catalog the loot.
(NOTE: All the product links below and elsewhere on the site are via my partnership with Amazon, so even if you don’t order the thing you click on, if you could click on one of my links first [...]

On a related note, I was reading The Dark Knight Archives Volume 1–one [...]

In this post, I’d like to pay tribute to what I fondly call “the Magic Toys ‘R Us.”First, a bit of background. Back in ye old dayes of the 1980s, action figures were relatively plentiful. You could walk into Child World or Caldor’s and find a rack of C3PO, R2D2, He-Man, Skeletor, Trapjaw, and any [...]

I posted a poll over on Action Figure Insider to see which Mattel 6″ Batman figure is considered the best. As of this moment, the black-and-gray series 8 repaint (see my Flickr photostream) has a big 33% lead. My review of that figure for OAFE should be posted soon.

Codename: Mistah Plow
Base of Operations: The Ed Zone
History: Mistah Plow was born in the early 1970s–mere moments before Pong would change the world forever. A quick pick-up-and-play session of Yars Revenge led to a lifelong obsession with video games. Plow attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst from 1990 to 1994 and graduated [...]
