@ML–Definitely. And the way she forces it on him…in my experience, women tend to have an idea in mind of what sort of engagement ring they want. Sure, Peter wasn't loaded, but it's quite possible MJ would have been a bit underwhelmed by Aunt May's fifty-year-old ring.

I can't disagree with much any of these points, but one hit me when I saw the film in the theater: Topher Grace would have been infinitely better as Peter Parker than Tobey. And I mostly liked Tobey's performances.

Great list!

Topher Grace should have stuck with That '70s Show. A few more mediocre seasons of that show would have been infinitely better than this pos.

With that said, Grace would have made a MUCH better Peter Parker.

God that movie is awful. The whole time I kept thinking about all the things they could have done to make it better. I mean, what was the point of Sandman even being in the film? To have a distracting sub plot? Jesus.
