Odds ‘n Ends > Farked Edition

ODD: The big news today is that yesterday, unbeknownst to me, my Spider-man 3 post was linked to on Fark (specifically, in the Geek section). To understand what that means, yesterday PGPoA received 300% more visitors than an average day. Pretty awesome. My immense thanks to the anonymous person who submitted it!

ODD: I received my first subscription issue of ToyFare yesterday. It’s fun getting it before the comic shops. I’ll put a look-through of it up sometime this week.

END: Along with the revelation regarding Lightray, AFI has a pre-New York Comic Con Q&A with Mattel. I’m saving my next one until after the Con. Mattel says they’ll be announcing waves four and five, as well as the SDCC exclusives and “other surprises,” which I’m guessing will include retailer exclusives. There’s a rumor Lightray himself may be an exclusive. if Mattel follows their usual pattern for such things, he’ll most likely come in some sort of multi-pack, possibly a two-pack with Superman. If it is Supes, here’s hoping it’s a repaint of the DCSH Superman with a lighter blue and fixed hip joints.

ODD: My NECA Ninja Turtles are so very close to being delivered…but, despite the fact they’re a mere forty miles away at the moment, UPS tracking is telling me it won’t be delivered until Thursday. Bastards.

END: SOTA’s Street Fighter Revolution wave, which includes SFII heavyweights E. Honda, Dhalsim, and Zangief, has been pushed back from May to July. I think I’ll have had those things pre-ordered for about a year by the time they ship.
