Odds ‘n Ends - Imposter Edition

ODD: Where is Poe? Is he truly on vacation, or has he been moved to an undisclosed location for…safekeeping? Will he ever return, or has my evil plan finally been realized!? I now present…PETE’S POINTS OF ARTICULATION!

…crap, that doesn’t flow nearly as well. I guess Poe has to stay.

END: And quite a literal one, I might add, for my Movie Master Batman figure, which was just horrendously savaged by my puppy/engine of destruction, Esry. A moment of silence if you will.

ODD: Poe may have had his set of DCUC Wave 2 for a while now, but I’m still waiting on mine. I received the shipping notification a couple of weeks ago, but when the middle of last week had passed, I still had no package, and the tracking information stated only “Billing Information Received.” Curious, I finally fired off an email to CSC, asking if there had perhaps been some sort of mishap. I received a reply not ten minutes later, informing me that although the shipping label had been placed, the package had for some reason never left the warehouse, but not to worry! A new label was issued, and my package was under way that same day. Praise to CornerStoreComics for some of the quickest, most reliable customer support I’ve ever seen (and I’ve worked support, so that’s saying something).

END: In a shameless self-plug, keep an eye out for the end of Fanwank’s current story in the near future–I’ve been working my way towards the thrilling (or not so) climax all the last couple of weeks. Will the world remain hopeless? Will Xavier’s band of reality-hopping superheroes save the day? Will Batman ever get his ice cream? Stay tuned to find out!

ODD: The OAFE forums have been abuzz the last couple of days with a hint of a rumor regarding the Movie Master Joker figure being pulled from shelves–yo go re has the scoop (and some smart advice about getting too worked up over rumors).

END: And sadly, this marks the end of my all-too-brief coup. Poe returns later this week, with his accursed good intentions and love for bringing you all plenty of toy-related goodness. But I’ll be back one day! YOU HAVEN’T HEARD THE LAST FROM ME!
