I read about the 3D printers a few years back as part of a "immediate future" research I was doing for a story. 3D printers will reach a point soon where they're Star Trek level of the "replicator" machines where I can make a weapon or hot coffee!

Yeah, I meant manufacturer, sorry...

And all "professionals" famously refuse to give numbers, but i will definitely be asking the volume question at SDCC

Volume is the most crucial element in sales and until any mass retailer goes on record commenting that internet orders are very comparable to B&M orders I still believe that B&M out orders/sells greatly.

You mean mass market manufacturer? Because how would a mass retailer know what sort of volume CornerStoreComics or BBTS was dealing with?

I know the brick and mortar question was a result of a discussion (argument?) Poe and I had a few weeks back and honestly this guys response was pretty anticlimatic and not very insightful. I still remain a staunch believer that to not support brick and mortar stores will augment the industry's implosion.

This guys response just reads a bit placating and in general seems to be consciously riding the middle of the fence as to not offend any potential customer.

Wow. That was a cool piece. You asked some good, provocative questions, too.

How did you stumble across his path, or vice versa?
