Future DCUC figures leaked?

Action Figure Insider has posted a list of DCUC figures that have shown up in Wal-Mart’s computer system. Take it with a grain of salt, of course, but here are the previously unannounced figures:

We know the Question isn’t due out until late 2009 (or maybe early 2010), so we may not see some of these figures for a long time. Still, I sincerely hope we are getting all of these–John Stewart, Shark, Mantis, Green Arrow, and Deadshot!! are awesome. I can’t wait to see a Four Horsemen Shark (though I suspect it’ll be more of a classic-looking Shark than the more monstrous modern one).

And yet, still no Martian Manhunter! What’s the deal with that? Maybe he’ll be the SDCC exclusive, with alternate heads or something…

Not one, but two GLs on that list, plus Abin Sur in the twopack?

    I support this.

Boy, they love those New Gods over there, don’t they? I’ve read quite a bit of the Kirby ones and the later stuff, but…have they ever been popular enough to warrant this? Not to be a naysayer, and I like the figure, but isn’t Orion the pegwarmer even now?

Admittedly, a lot of the Fourth World characters like the Parademons or Mantis are going to look cool enough that kids will want them even if they have no idea who they are. But Forager…man, I’ll be kinda surprised if he makes it to the racks. (No offense!)

The Four Horsemen love the New Gods, and it seems like DC is pushing them pretty hard these days too. I’m not entirely clear on why, but if Morrison can pull off the NG revamp he seems to be trying for, it could be good…

Yup! My mattel source was right! Thanks for giving us the rest of the list Poe!

    Can’t wait for them all!

Jack Kirby is cool and all, but man do we need more stories here. Batman villans Still need more representation: we need figures of Poison Ivy, Black Mask,Man-Bat,Mad Hatter, Scarface and the Ventriloquist, Ras Ah Ghoul,Deadshot,Hush.

Um, Deadshot is on that list ;) And we’ve got an albino Man-Bat, and Mattel has already said the brown Man-Bat is coming sometime in 2009.

I agree with most of your suggestions, though, particularly Poison Ivy, Mad Hatter, and Ra’s Al Ghul.

    BLACK ADAM. YES. GIMMEGIMMEGIMME.

I like that list. Green Arrow and Black Canary, more Corps members, and one of the major JSA members. Keep it coming!

I too am a little baffled by the New Gods love. It never really caught on. and the characters people tend to remember we already have (Orion, Darkseid). Do we really need Forager?

Still, I really like how Mattel is sticking to their guns with their themes. Ml jumped around alot, giving us bursts of X-Men, Avengers, and occasionally sprinkling in someone like Sasquatch, then never giving him a teammate. If we keep buying DCUC as they are giving it to us, we will have well-rounded and interesting displays develop, not just a mish-mash of random characters.

I also agree that we need more Batman villains. I really liked the early trend of getting a Batman rogue or ally a wave. He has one of the best in comics, and we already got a taste with the old DCSH. That trend has seemed to cease, however, leaving me craving a Ra’s, Poison Ivy, and updated Joker.

And yeah Poe, what the HELL is with Martian Manhunter? It’s like the Fantastic Four Sue thing all over again, although not quite as bad. Still, when I think JLA, I think Martian Manhunter. Hope they rectify that, and NOT through some stupid overpriced exclusive.

While I want to see as many of Batman’s villians in toy form as possible, let’s not forget the Flash and Superman’s rogues. Parasite, Toyman, the Trickster, Mirror Master, Brainiac, Darkseid, Captain Boomerang, and the Shade would all make for cool toys.

As far as my secret tipster knows Wave 9 consists of everything from Wildcat to Guardian.

Wave 10 is from Forager to Deadman.

Personally, wave 10 seems pretty weak with exception of the question, john stewart and stepphenwolf.

Uh when’s a decent non-EMO Ledger Joker coming out? I mean seriously!
