Paul’s Peg > Halo RC Vehicles

I’m a huge Halo fan, so I picked up my pre-order copy of Halo: ODST yesterday. I’ve played through it enough and have been satisfied to the point that I’m interested in Halo once again. Because of this, I’ve been looking for Halo related news items I may have missed over the last few months and these Halo RC vehicles are something I certainly overlooked and are worth noting:

The Hornet is certainly cool, but the real winner has got to be the Warthog. I’ve seen fan made Warthogs over the years that were a lot more detailed, this one might do nicely in a pinch. This is especially true if you’re too lazy to make one of your own (that’s me).

And please don’t tell me I’m the only Halo fan on There’s got to be at least a few of you out there.

  1. Well seems like you might be….Wow those toys really suck, they look like mcdonald's toys-we these made by McFarlene?

    **Im more of a Gears Of War guy.

  2. I was very much into Halo around the time of Halo 3's release. Since then, my enthusiasm has waned a bit…no Halo-related thing has been as enjoyable an experience as playing the first game.

  3. @Poe

    Exactly! I played the first game to DEATH, on every difficulty setting, multiple times. It was THAT good. Nothing else has measured up.

    @Paul & everyone else

    I like the McFarlane toys, except that they are totally out of scale with everything else that I collect. If I ever see them on clearance for $5 a pop or less, I will probably grab a few.

  4. Halo 3 was over hyped, much like Batman AA, Halo bored me and me and my mates barely played it. Now Star Wars Batllefront, there is an amazingly fun game.

  5. I've become a pretty big Halo dork at this point and I've bought my share of the McFarlane figures. I saw the new RC Warthog at my local Game Stop and I gotta tell ya its not that great. After the getting used to the detail on the McFarlane figures this just didn't stack up.

  6. What’s the scale on them? If they were in scale with the McFarlane toys that would be pretty bitchin’.

  7. wasn't mcf doing a scaled warthog? i swear i thought that was on the docket for this year. maybe i've lost it…

  8. Huge HALO fan here.

    These RCs are made by NKOK. McFarlane has expressed interest in making a Warthog on their forums, but nothing has been 100% confirmed. However, we do get a Mongoose (the 4-wheel ATV bike) from them next month, so I'm sure they'll be keeping a close eye on those sales to see if a Warthog is justified being produced.
