Happy Scareglow Day

It’s Scareglow day! What will happen this time? I haven’t the energy even to guess. Let’s just saying, anything could happen–from Digital River exploding like a supernova to everyone getting exactly what they want in a timely, orderly fashion. The fun begins at 12pm Eastern, 9am Pacific.

Don’t forget, along with Scareglow here, you can order:

  • Definitely ready for the DCUC pack.

I'm debating on getting He-Man. I'm intrigued by the MOTUC figures, but I just don't want to start another expensive, difficult to obtain, Mattel run line.

I might pick up Scareglow because he looks cool, but I stayed strong not ordering Teela, so I'll probably stick to my guns. Too many DCUC, NECA, and G.I. Joe figures out there.

And I'm definitely wondering what is happening with The Dark Knight. Mattel is neither advertising this figure nor apparently even making its presence known. Did this happen with last month's Joker?

  • Got Red Screened twice, but otherwise had He-Man payed for and got my invoice email inside of 5 mins. Not too shabby in my opinion.

  • Just wait through the red screen.

I picked up He-Man and Scareglow with only a few moments of red screen. While in the past I would have picked up the Color of Fear pack the fact that poor, poor distribution has caused me to stop being a completionist no longer has me buying DCUC unless I feel I need the characters. The December two-pack is more interesting because of Animal Man, but I may skip that too because of the avalanche of stuff coming out in December.

  • Yeah, just wait and it'll load the page your going to in a few minutes. Don't click off it or refresh, just let it do it's thing.

  • About 7 minutes. Got my email in about another 4. Not too bad, but I mean last month they were the worst they've ever been… So who knows what next month will be like.

Anyway, Matty saved me some issues by canceling my subscription last month as I'm able to ship the two figures together. Kudos to me.

  • @barbecue17: Totally agree with you, there are a lot of other good toys out there.

Although I will probably get Scareglow, and Evil Lyn…and Battle Cat…and Panthor…LOL.

  • WTF!!! I've been red-screened for 50 minutes now. Why aren't I getting in???

    AAARGH!!!

  • Got the red screen thing for a few minutes but got through just fine and my order for the DCUC 2-pack went through just fine. And I remembered to put in the right shipping address this time too. Now to hope it comes in before my girlfriend gets back in the country.

  • Completed my order and got the confirmation email in two minutes. This is only the second figure I've ever ordered from Matty, but both attempts have been remarkably smooth, given all the hubbub. Reloading when you get the red screen seems to do the trick.

  • I have to wait another two days until I get paid, and I'm so worried! I hope both He-Man and Scareglow will still be in stock… I can't afford to buy them on the secondary market.

  • i waited 20 min. went to the site with no problems and ordered.

i got a confirm email before i closed the page lol

  • I agree with Poe that the two-pack might sell faster. This is the highest quality two-pack sold on matty to date. Some people might buy two and customize Romat Ru into a bigger Sinestro. Then you would have two constructs as well.

  • I totally forgot until loading Poe's page at 10:45. Whew! Little bit of a scare there!

  • well, i like scareglow and mattel gave me a second chance to get he-man so i said "what the hell" and got them both. i got hordak from ebay as well because jesus christ i am crazy.

i will get the skeletor re-issue and adora and then probably call it good, though i'd love to get king greyskull.

i smoked a joint last night and watched one of the 2002 motu episodes (i skipped the series because i never had time and i am a little too young for the original filmation series) and it was actually super radical.

poe, i have to give you credit. i wouldn't give a crap about motu after all of these years (except for hordak and skeletor, the two best gay sorcerers ever) if you hadn't posted that sweet comic and those posters.

you just made mattel a cool $48, hope they cut you a check for 10%.

  • @d. verburg: this is one of the funniest posts I've seen here in a while…

  • Goddamn it. He-Man's already sold out and they still have the lame-ass subscription figure? Sadness.

  • @RageTreb: Dork :-p

So I can't say I'm too surprised that He-Man sold out. I imagine there are a TON of people who have been waiting for him to get rereleased after getting into the line late. I ultimately opted to pass on him. I've come to love my little red-eyed He-Man. :-p

I did pick up my Scareglow and the two-pack though.

I've now realized that if one were to want to, they could order EVERY SINGLE JLU exclusive listed on Matty.com other than Giganta.

And me thinks this can't be a good sign for the Dark Knight line.

  • I might buy a Scareglow even though I don't collect the MOTUC line. I just like figures that glow in the dark and Scareglow does an awesome job of it.

  • Grabbed the Color of Fear pack…I strongly considered grabbing the re-issue He-Man. I thought I could maybe just grab him and Skeletor…but I know myself too well and it'd get out of hand. Quickly. So no MOTUC for me (unless they release one of the cooler He-Man types I had…like the one with the spinning weapon thing, that figure I played with like crazy).

  • If you watch the Scooby Doo movie of Scooby Doo Meets Thge Boo Brothers, there is a skeleton in it with a purple cloak, looks a bit like Scareglow LOL.

  • I got my shipping notice for my DCUC 2-pack last night and its out for delivery today.

  • no shipping notices. i hope they stole my money and bought a bunch of scrap plastic to use for making even less progress with dc infinite heroes.

  • And my 2-pack has been delivered. They look really cool too. Wish I'd gotten a second set to bash together a couple more Sinestro Corps members.
