Joes For Tots > How You Can Help

Well now that the official Joes for Tots contest announcement has been made, I’m hoping you all are keeping it in the back of your minds when you start your holiday shopping this year (be it Christmas or one of those crazy snake worshiping ones). I’ll be hitting you up with reminders as well as sending out notices around the web to let everyone in on this great chance to try to selfishly win things for helping kids, but I can’t do it all on my own. I need some help!
If you own a blog or a website, write about it and link to the original contest post (found here). I’ve also got a great banner provided by the ever talented Larry Joe that you can feel free to post on your blog or site:

We’ve also got two other official headings that you can feel free to use:

If you would like to interview someone about it, I’m happy to answer any questions that you may have.
If you don’t own a blog, don’t worry! There’s other ways you can help. You can tell your friends and family about it of chat about it on message boards. Also feel free to follow the Joes For Tots twitter account. Yeah you have the news on this year blogs, but trust me, it’s totally worth it.
Another way you can help is by buying stuff from our fine sponsors (or just reading their site) and letting them know that you saw their sponsorship on Joes for Tots. It gives them warm fuzzys and will encourage them (and perhaps others) to sponsor this shindig in the future: Big Bad Toy Store, 80sTees.com, Sideshow Collectibles, Brian’s Toys, Luke’s Toy Store, and Articulated Discussion. You could also buy stuff from DinosaurToyVault, but since that’s me I feel like that’s cheating. Give more stuff to kids instead.
Okay, enough of me begging for help! Here’s a picture from Luke’s Toy Store of the Mini-Mates you can win. Start salivating!

Can you guys whip up a 120×120 graphic or a 728×90? I’d like to put a visual link up at the site, but those are the two sizes of banners I use…

120 x 120 sounds great. I’ll post one to Battlegrip if it’s somewhere accessible.

I’ll certainly put one up on my Rocky Horror cast’s MySpace! Some of the cast members organize a TFT event, so this’ll be some nice cross promotion! =) Dr. Steel’s Toy Soliders do a big gift raising event too.
I heard on the radio this morning that today is the national kick-off day for TFT. They were saying how this year they’re worried about a decline in donations due to the economy.

For every G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra toy bought between now and Thanksgiving, Hasbro will donate a toy to Toys for Tots.

Thats pretty damn decent on the part of Hasbro. Now if only Mattel would have a similar deal… for every Cyborg or Captain Cold bought they’ll donate two for TFT!

Is there anything in particular these banners should link to? I definitely want to show my support.
