I'm glad you retracted the the comment about the Secret of the Ooze being the worst in the series. I didn't read all the comments yet but I just have to say that I despise part III and I actually enjoyed the 2nd one for it's cartoony aspect. It was a fun movie and I like the fact that they concentrated on showing the Turtles throughout the film. That's where the third film fails. It's not enough Turtles, and not having them in NYC just doesn't work.

I personally think only the first movie to be worth a damn, Tokka and Rahzar notwithstanding. (Which obviously is still an unfair opinion, having not seen the third one. The first film is by far the best, but I've got nostalgic soft spot in my heart for II moreso than the first. I saw both in theatres, but I don't have any specific memories of actually going to see them. I think as I kid I liked the whole TGRI/ooze aspect, Rahzar & Tokka, and of course Super Shredder. More importantly does anyone remember the Coming Out of Their Shells tour? It was a live show featuring the fearsome four as a band. I never saw it, but I got a tape from Pizza Hut, and listened to that thing hundreds of times. A few years back I happened to be at a yard sale and found the VHS tape of the concert and picked it up for a dime or something, it was awful but it brought back memories.

The third movie is surprisingly underrated and follows some of the old Renet storylines from the comics. Massively altered of course.

Tokka and Rhazar came about not because they didn't have the rights to Rocksteady and Bebop, but because Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman hated Rocksteady and Bebop and wanted nothing to do with them. Despite the fact that they had indeed created Rocksteady and Bebop (As toys for Playmates) and it took Laird 25 years to finally be willing to use them again in limited usage… Only to sell the franchise a few months later. DOH!

Speaking of TMNT, Turtles Forever airs tomorrow, CHECK YOUR LOCAL LISTINGS… IT HAS TOKKA AND RHAZAR IN IT! Their first appearance since TMNT II!

They could have fixed the third movie if they encountered a Medieval Japan ancestor of Shredder, fight real foot ninjas, get beat up and then find a new master in that time period who is…Usagi Yojimbo.The asian female in the 3rd movie would have been a perfect Karai.
