Poester Mr. G submits to you another Skrull Giant-Man travesty. This time, the guy just flat-out stole the Captain America–he couldn’t even be bothered to muster the mild creativity or the $2 necessary to replace it with a CORPS figure.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that Cap the non-exciting part of this two-pack? I know it’s supposed to be the new Bucky Cap (right?), but is he really that popular?

Once again, Walmart has re-shelved the item sans Cap. It makes me wonder how many vandalized packages aren’t re-shelved. If any. It also makes me wonder if there’s anything Hasbro can do to cut down in this crap–apart from not throwing in the smaller figure in the first place.

Y’know, when crap like this is going on, people who do this are even worse human beings than usual.

Anyway, here’s my curse for this perp: May he contract a rare form of leprosy that only affects the genitals just before he meets his soul mate, who looks exactly like Olivia Wilde.

after reading comments about these guys on forums and this site , you would think somebody punched your child or raped your grandmother the way you react. If they packed cap as a single and didn’t charge 30 bucks for him and a crappy giant skrull this wouldn’t happen , im one of those guys that just wants the cap..im just not going this far to get one….same goes for the lex luthor in the dc 5 pack

I bought it for the Cap too, I’m just a huge Cap fan. It’s not exactly a great figure, and the skrull is the better of the two. But if you found it at retail, and didn’t want the skrull, wouldn’t you make out better by selling it on ebay?

Re-selling the Skrull on ebay would require, you know, effort. It’s apparently much easier to just return it to Wal-Mart (which is VERY friendly to returns–wouldn’t want to offend the locals). My wish for this person is to not reproduce or interact meaningfully with society–please!

Huh. Sad to hear that this is going on in other countries as well, not only in the Philippines.

I actually bought it for both, but I know many local collectors who just split it with one of their friends. Isn’t too hard to find a buyer for the Skrull since he’s easily an army builder.

i totally get that.. every one of these scenarios i find incredibly funny…the fact that somebody working at wal-mart didn’t notice or isn’t paid enough to care that it was missing a vital part of the set is ridiculous. what gets me is how serious people react to these finds…the swapping of a lex luthor for a buzz lightyear is by far my favorite…come on! thats funny

@Santo: I think collectors have a really, really hard finding something like that funny when it’s their fifteenth trip to a Walmart that week looking for the five-pack, and the only thing they find is a vandalized pack.

I think being pissed off and wishing horrible things on the perpetrator is a perfectly natural response.

I can’t understand the allure of the Cap figure, it’s not even a good sculpt. I think your curses are hilarious, and obviously we know you’re just messing about. Did people lose their sense of humor these days? Must be all that MTV. I expect Black Friday to be full of Toy Aisle Trolls and their work, so be sharp when shopping!

I too bought that pack just for the Bucky Cap, and I think it’s one of the best figures of the line. Perhaps I’m just a sucker for shiny, metallic things, I don’t know. I tried and failed to sell my giant Skrull. Maybe I should’ve just slid him in the box with one of the 12 or 15 Cobra Commander figures I’ve accumulated over the years and returned it.

I think Poe hit the nail on the head, if you’re making your 15th trip this week to look for something, and you FINALLY find it, but then notice that somethings missing or has been swapped out, I think rational thinking goes out the window.

If I were out looking for The Joker and stumbled upon a DCSH/2003 Joker swapped out for the DCUC Joker I think I wouldn go Hulk.
