I'm not a big fan of the originals from the 60's, but Shusuke Kaneko's trilogy from the 90's is easily the best set of monster movies I've ever seen. Beautiful effects, human characters who serve a point, and brilliant directing: why aren't these better known here in the States?
Anyway, thanks for bringing back the memories.
Gamera! Gamera!
Gamera is really neat.
Gamera is filled with meat.
We've been eating Gamera!
Shell
Teeth
Eyes
Flames
Claws
Breath
Scales
Fun!
Lol,I remember watching Gamera in a theater as a child,I thought I was dreaming seeing a real 100 foot flying turtle.
I spent two weeks ago harping about how awesome that Gamera trilogy was on my site Erin. Some people do know, you just have to find the right ones.
That's a great pic.
