This is great news, but I’m going to have to rain on this parade just a wee bit and point out that between this and Tytus, May 17th could potentially rival the February clusterflock. I forgot that one of the non-MOTUC properties could come into play…but still, I’m happy collectors get another shot at Wave 5. At the very least, it’ll infuse enough figures into the market to bring the eBay prices down, and sets a precedent for other hard-to-find DCUC figures to make their way to Mattycollector.

Oh…THAT'S why I couldn't find this wave! It was an instant success! Well, congrats on all of your successful waves…Liar. I'm glad these are being released again, I'll be trying to buy them, but do they really have to spoon-feed us the bullshit?
Just think, in just under two months, I'll be able to experience that soul crushing feeling of defeat and hopelessness that MOTUC fans feel every month!

Yes, it could be quite the problem online, but I've got to hand it to them that this news gets me quite excited and if I can get my hands on them I will be doing so. Great news!!
Good to see Wave 5 coming back but there's no changes to the original releases at all. Makes me think they'll have only a limited supply on hand. Factor that with being on sale for MOTUC Monday..you get the picture.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetness… i want metallo real bad but wouldn't mind owning Eradicator, Black Lightining, Amazo, Riddler, and The Atom.
Sure beats having to pay over 70 bucks, if you're lucky, on ebay for Metallo.
I just wonder how much the case will cost?
Wave 12 is going for $120 for 8 figures which comes to $15 a piece. For this set I'd imagine they'd keep the same pricing so figure $75 for the set of 5. Oh and a piece of your soul (if they haven't taken it all by now).
I'd like Riddler and Metallo but if I miss out due to too much MOTUC traffic then no big deal.
see.. I knew there was a catch.. it's coming out on tytus day… and I don't even WANT tytus… but I do want a few other things coming out…
this is somehow going to suck.. especially if the limit is still 10 per… somehow I don't think the ebay guys will take that lying down and will work to, once again, buy up the things people want…
I hope they kept the original crappy QC, too, to keep them authentic.

So, for those of us keeping track, we've got this: DCUC Wave 5, then of course Tytus, plus Optikk, and the Mer-Man reissue, not to mention the Movie Masters Two Face and Ghostubsters Walter Peck.
Mattel should really start planning ahead for these release dates. I know those who collect multiple lines might not appreciate not being able to combine shipping, but if it helps to alleviate creating a proverbial perfect storm.
@PrfktTear: I would gladly pay a little extra in shipping if they split the releases to different days if for no other reason than to avoid the clusterfuck that is Matty Sale Day. Hell just break out the non-MOTUC stuff from everything else so those of us who aren't collecting every line they put out have a chance to order what we want.
I do imagine these will last the day though at least. Compare $75(est.) per item to $20 per MOTUC figure and scalper will balk a bit at loading up their cart with this wave. Plus those that really truly wanted this wave most likely got it through the secondary market rather than take a chance on a reissue. I suspect a lot of people getting this wave now will be folks like me that just want the BAF and maybe one or two others, or just got into the line and are completing their collections. I don't foresee a huge Battle Cat-like demand for these.
But throwing them into the mix on a big day like this is just chumming the waters even more than usual. Unless DRI and Matty have things fixed to an acceptable level I foresee just mroe of the same.
not that i'm disappointed by this news, it's actually good to hear, but i still think its hilarious that it goes to show how you can NEVER EVER trust ANYTHING mattel says EVER. remember when "exclusives were not going to be re-released"?

Screw Xtra shipping, Mattel should do the 'pile of loot' like bbts. that way, you could order multiple items at different times, and then combine shipping when you would like them to ship and save!
oh, wait, then it wouldn't be a racket…
They could also release on different days, but announce the shipdate ahead of time. Say something like release dates 2 or 3 days apart with shipping starting 1 week after the last release date of each month.
Glad I couldn't care less about Tytus.
Anybody want a Riddler? I already have him but might buy the set for the rest. Alternatively is anybody planning on getting the set who doesn't want a Black Lightning or Atom?

I found all except Atom! That's sarcasm, since I imagine they'll be sold as sets. At Wizardworld this year, thr only Aton I saw was like $90! Maybe this will bring resale prices down though.
I bought all 5 figures loose off ebay for about 25 bucks apiece and prayed for the day I could find a decently priced Metallo.
Now it looks like I'll be able to get a whole set plus Metallo in package for cheaper than just him on ebay. Now what the hell am I gonna do with the five dudes I already have?
Sell 'em on ebay quick before word gets out?
And you guys with the actual rational ideas should remember that it's TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE for Digital River to combine shipping. It simply can't be done. For the very good reason that *mumblemumble*. I hope that's all cleared up now.
I just need the atom and the Metallo arm he comes with. I'll probably try to find someone to split a case pack with.
