Contest > Choose Your Weapon (Prize: MOTUC Weapons Pak)

You too can turn your He-Man from a gray harness-wearing barbarian with only mild fashion issues to a full-blown atrocity that would drive Tim Gunn to use his namesake on himself. How, you ask? By winning the PGPoA “Choose Your Weapon” contest! The prize is a brand-spanking-new, still-in-the-white-mailer MOTUC Weapons Pak. (Read the official PGPoA review!)

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below naming your favorite action figure accessory of all time. Feel free to go into detail as to why it’s your favorite, but all you have to do to enter is name it and the figure it came with.

RÜLZ:

  1. Contest ends on Sunday, May 9th at 11:59pm.
  2. The winner will be selected at random.
  3. Only U.S. and Canadian residents are eligible. I know there are lots of Poesters in other countries and I love you all, but those shipping costs are getting painful.
  4. Only one entry per person. I check IPs and so forth, but really, just don’t be a jerk.

I agree with everything listed above.

Besides those, though, I think my favorite accessory would be the sword that came with the old version 2 Snake Eyes. It was just so cool looking! Between that, the black clothes, and the pet wolf, you just knew Snake Eyes was the awesomest guy on the block.

Honorable mention goes to the Micronauts flight pack with the spring loaded flip up wings. The fan details on the backpack made it look like a face, so it got upgraded from accessory to sentient robot in my world. It would walk on its folded wings or pop them out to fly when necessary.

Man, I miss being a kid sometimes. It seems like it gets harder to just let cool stuff be cool stuff once you're a grown up.

The first thing that comes to mind as my favorite accessory is the portable Cerebro that came with the old blue and white Cyclops. At first I thought it was some sort of a cannon, but then, why would a guy with lazer gun eyeballs need a cannon?

Then later I clipped it to the battering ram that came with Juggernaut (wait, battering ram…Juggernaut…?) and made a little jetpack for people.

In short, it was a nice shade of blue.

My favorite accessory of all time is most definitely the packaging for last years Wonder Twins. It was so much funny clicking the box together and hearing the voice clips.

  4. Skullder

My Favorite accessory of all time has to be Buzzsaw with Soundwave from G1 Transformers! I remember being a kid and thinking how cool it was that the cassette tape inside of a robot tape player transformed into a robot bird!

Definitely the mallet from the Superpowers Joker figure. I had so much fun with that toy, bonking other figures over the head with it.

If you had asked me this about two weeks ago I would have made a safe choice. Like a vintage He-man, Star Wars or GI Joe figure. Now though my choice is the GI Joe 25Th Anniversary Matt Trakker. I gave Mr.Trakker (MASK's orphan son) to my boy. My son wont put him down because of his accessories. He loves the removable helmet and helicopter backpack. Unlike most of the things in my son's toy box Trakker has a ton of replay value.

The "gut gun" on the original Beast Wars Cheetor; he was shooting out of his intestines, how cool was that! It clearly and concisely stated how Beast Wars was going to be different than Transformers… until Transmetals, anyway.

ML Days of Future Past Logan's motorcycle.

  9. PatMan 668

Ace Frehley's "Rocket Ride" guitar from the first wave of McFarlane KISS figures. It's a blue, vaguely Flying V shaped guitar that folds into a "Space Scooter" for Ace to fly around on. It's corny, it's goofy, and it's so appropriate for KISS! You can imagine that the big rockets on Ace's boots propel the silly thing through space…

Mine would be the Optimus Prime that came with ROTF's Stratosphere.

Why? Well, the guy has no weapons, so I just assume he handles his enemies by throwing Optimus Prime at them at 100 mph.

  11. It depends on when you ask me, but probably the chair that came with the Norman Osborn Spider-Man figure. You could plug the mask into it and it would talk, but I usually don't. I don't even know how many times I've used it in strips.

  12. Prince Adam from the upcoming MOTUC Orko figure! 😀 The original Cobra commander's laser pistol was cool too and could be carried on the figure's back!

  13. Tough one. I'm going to go with the Zero/dog bed combination that came with the Nightmare Before Christmas Series 5 Pajama Jack, but MAMMA, who Palisades packaged with Dr. Strangepork, comes in a close second.

  14. Kagamigod

My favorite accessory is the minature Atom that comes with DC Universe Classics' Gentleman Ghost, because it was well hidden in the pack and if you never saw reviews you'd never know he was in there.

The flaming heart that came with Mola Ram from Hasbro's Indiana Jones line. Why?

It's one of the most gruesome scenes ever in a movie that's rated PG! Dude sticks his hand in a guy's chest, pulls his beating heart out (which is shown in full detail) and then holds it up for it to burst into flames as the victim's body is dropped into lava.

Also, this figure is made by Hasbro. A major toy company that makes toys for children and have said many times that their lines are INTENDED for children, not collectors. Indiana Jones was no exception, but they had the stones to go ahead and make a figure that comes with another man's flaming heart. Beautiful.

P.S. The figure also came with the cup that Indy drank the blood of Kali out of which happened to be made from a corpse's head! For those of you keeping score, that's 2 gruesome accessories included with a "children's" toy!

  16. Marvel Select Thanos and his removable Infinity Gauntlet.

    So many to choose from.

The "baby" Connor that came with DST's Vampire Angel. The pre-mutated baby turtle that came with NECA's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The extra head that came with Mattel's MOTUC Teela. The pieces of the "Stargate" that came with DST's first two series of Stargate: SG1 action figures (even if I could never complete the gate thanks to their stuff-up).

But I think my favourite accessory would have to be the pieces of the "attic" that came packed with SOTA's Charmed action figures. Not only did the figures come packed with plenty of other accessories (including "magic" stuff, potion bottles and extra "hands"), but they also came with sections of the attic from the show which formed a spectacular base/diorama when put together.

  18. I'd have to say my favorite was Joe Eyeball, or as I called him, Eyeball Joe.

He came with the TMNT figure Muckman. He fit in Muckman's garbagecan backpack, but I used him as a outer space explorer. I even built him a little spaceship out of an old doorknob…

Sadly I lost him one day during play and never could find him again. I literally searched the basement where I had dropped him probably 1,000 times. Kind of a shame. I still don't have a Eyeball Joe today. Yet I have four Muckman figures.

Now that was one cool accessory.

  19. Jake

My favorite? Walt Flanagan's dog that came with Graffiti Design's Jay (and Silent Bob) figure. A plastic dog with a fifth leg.

The mousers that came with NECA April O'neil. The SDCC NECA Mousers were cute but useless… No clamping mouths WTH!? If NECA April is harder to find then I go with 2k3 April with mousers… Just any Mouser that came as an accessory and had an articulated mouth.

I never understood why Playmates never released a bucket of mousers…

doing it for fun no need for the WP for me…
