That octopus is a thing of beauty. You've got a talented lady.
The legs have wires in them, so they're poseable.

You're a lucky guy. My wife has never once knitted me a sea creature.
Firstly, you're wife did a fantastic job on the octopus. That is some cool stuff right there. Secondly the colors of the octopus and he-man work really well together.
Did she knit that freehand or use a pattern? My girl has been knitting/crocheting a lot in her spare time lately making all kinds of wierd things. We've got a 5" penguin and a tiny purple turtle on our coffee table. And she's almost done with a Stargate baby blanket for a friend.
@dayraven: She won't do pre-orders, but she WILL let you sign up for a subscription to her knitted animals. She can't tell you what animals you will be getting for the duration of the subscription, but she can tell you that for another $20 you will get a "free" second octopus knitted in darker color scheme.
Let's not drag my wife's knitting into the Mattel-bashing here, thanks. There are plenty of other comment threads devoted exclusively to the topic.
