Cool pictures. This was a great line that ended far too soon. I really wish that Hellboy and some BPRD characters had made it into this line.
The only figures I'm missing are Marv, the Darkness, and the lower torso/groin for Monkey Man. I really want that Monkey Man piece.
timmy was a complete waste of space, but that line rocked besides. especially the three gents you have photoed here… where's the bike from?
That line rocked indeed. I totally digged the Judge Dredd and Conan figures. The BAF Frost Giant would've been awesome. Oh, the missed possibilities…
The Bike is from Legendary riders wolverine from Marvel legends wave 11.Pitt has the best hulk type body sculpt but his dated 90's aesthetic of worthless chains allover and ponytail is more comedic than badass now.
@Reilly:
Isn't the frost giant coming with loki in the MU line the same thing?
What I am sad is there was supposed to be a Big guy(and rusty) Baf in wave 3!
@Mecha-Shiva: No, the frost giant that was supposed to come out of this line was MUCH cooler looking.
This line had some amazing BAF's ever! Still, I think it's highly overrated for the single figures. Witchblade is the most awful, anorexic figure. Marv wasn't half as good as the McF figure that came out 10 years earlier. Star was made from that crappy Quicksilver body. Stryker just looked crappy, and his guns looked like unfinished sculpts. And even though Conan was mostly a nice figure, he has some of the worst looking feet I've ever seen; they look like potatoes barely attached to his ankles. Blech.
I see what you mean about the feet, but luckily, it didn't bother me. I just wished his fur-cape was removable.
I can't recall the details… didn't they plan a John Buscema Conan for Series 3 and Toth Amon for Series 4?
*sigh* I wished someone would do a new Conan actionfigure line. Real Action figures, not statues.
This photo is awesome! Gonna have to find another 1/12th scale bike for my own Savage Dragon. And shades.
@Dead Man Walking: @Dead Man Walking:
I didn't like the Conan since it's based on the current designs, luckily MOTUC Vikor is a spitting image of Barry Windsor Smith's Marvel Conan.Erp,I meant Big guy BAF is in wave 4.
@slangards: The sunglasses are from the Marvel Legends Blade, by the way.
I've always preferred the Savage Dragon stories where he's a cop, rather than the Kirby-esque intergalactic stuff. I think I heard recently that he's back to those ground-level stories.
@Dead Man Walking: hold up there… have you read a dragon comic? star was about perfect (though they should have done afro star) w/ that base body. and lcbh marv has the benefit of posing over the mcf version. mcf gave theirs the accessories lcbh did not, but i'll take a marv i can play with over one i can't. and madman was damned near perfect. so was ripclaw ('cept for those damned arm bands), and both judges rocked. AOB was also everything witchblade wasn't.
I like that my Savage Dragon figure sits on my shelf giving the finger to whomever walks by.
That line was tremendous and I'm so very sad we never got the third wave.
I have every character (though I wish I had the O'Brien that matched Monkeyman and not the yellow one.

Wraal was awesome though.

BTW, here's my review of this figure: http://www.oafe.net/poe/lh1_sd.php
