Really big ones. From MTV Geek (by PGPoA Pal Lemonjuice McGee):

Featuring 7 points of articulation this mega figure is superbly detailed, perfectly capturing not only the iconic look of Lion-O as he appeared in the classic television series, but the essence, of Lion-O as he proudly raises the mystic Sword of Omens towards the heavens and roars out “Thundercats, Ho!” He comes complete with his impressive Claw Shield and a removable mystic Sword Of Omens.
Lion-O is packaged in a collector friendly window box that allows him to be displayed while remaining Mint In Box.

OH WOW! I love that sculpt–that's very close to what I wish MOTUC proportions were like.
But 20" means he doesn't really fit in with anything I collect. I might buy this, but if they make a 6-7" line in this style it will be my favorite new figure line.
sooooo….basically a statue….pass
You can get it at bbts.
Pretty awesome. I'm not sure what I'd do with a 20" Lion-O though… ah well.
Ehhh,too big for anything but I'll buy a 20 inch Mumm-Ra.
Where's the 20 inch Snarf?
what a weird scale, and why the hell is mez doing this? between bandai and whattheirass, i figured we had all the t-cats merch pretty much sown up. cool looking, but nothing i'd invest in.
I'm certain this will help Mezco put another foot in the grave. Thundercats is great, but odd scale and at a time when Bandai is about to flood the market with Thundercats stuff people actually want… Makes this a no buy.
Pingback Tweets that mention Mezco is also doing Thundercats figures, apparently : Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation -- Topsy.com
I'm with Newton.
I'd buy it for the Sword of Omens letter opener!
Lion-o is only about 14" high. 20" from boot to the tip of the sword. At about 14" he will fit in perfectly with 12" figures like the Marvel Icons etc.
I think its an amazing figure and I will get one.
Definitely a great time for us Thundercats fans
They're sure giving out a lot of versions of the same license. I just hope they don't cannibalize each others sales too much or we'll end up with nothing.
They're also all starting with Lion-o, which is natural but how many Lion-o's does a person need?
@Mark: except that your icons are posable… w/ 7 PoA, this is FAR from a figure in the sense that an icons fig is.
I would like to see more info on what Mezco has planned with these and what price point we are looking at.
The price point is a bit steep and the cut joint articulation is nigh useless,I am more inclined to get a hard hero statue.
The perfect scale for my Cave Troll brethren and the perfect price point for the mounds of dwarvish gold we rest upon nightly.
Sculpt-wise, it's quite ideal. I'm hoping for something close to this at 7".
@dayraven: True, but 7 poa is better than none. As long as it has head, shoulders and hips I am happy. Only my personal taste but I think to many joints on a figure spoil the sculpt.
@dayraven: All this talk of Icons just reminded me I used to have Icons Thor, now I wish I hadn't sold him LOL.
I guess it looks nice, but it is basically a statue, and in a scale that makes me think of those gigantic TMNT statues that came out a bunch of years ago. Where would one put that?
I'm a big ThunderCats fan, and I'm planning on getting this, but it will be my only one. I've got shelf space for it by my art desk but I don't need the whole lineup this huge. Basically it's a statue that's well cheaper than 250 bucks, and I'm fine with it being that.
I'm hoping to get a glimpse of Bandai's rumored 7-inch ThunderCats at Toy Fair.
Oh, and as for the Mezco link, I just don't think it's up yet. They sent us the pic really early and I don't believe they've had the chance to put it up properly on their site. Hopefully that 99 dollar price is just a placeholder too…
Too bad this line isn't by Mattel.
I would have been all for it, had the 4H sculpted it and would fit with the He-Man line.
Geeesh. I wonder who wouldn't figure this out???
@Lemonjuice_McGee: Probably a placeholder. BBTS has it for pre-order at $34.99
$34.99 seems pretty excellent.
In related news, Tytus suddenly seems a but crummier. He's got more than 7 POA, but half are useless.
It's that after years of fantastic custom Lion-Os showing up, this sculpt is still impressive.
@FakeEyes22: tytus IS a dud!! god bless the motuc fans for trying to love that fig, but i wouldn't have humped it w/ a stolen sclong, if ou get my meaning. even as recent as the previous year, hasbro and jakks were cranking out fully articulated figs in the same scale that didn't cost 100 dollars at retail, as mattel repeatedly claimed tytus would cost… YES, tytus didn't get made in the qtys of those figs BUT, to me that says, "then it's not tytus' time yet, is it? save the big guys for when he can be done CORRECTLY." he should have, and could have, gotten the same articulation as the rest of the line, and a gay whack-a-mole hammer that WORKED or he shouldn't have been added to the docket. mattel REALLY hacked me off w/ that, half ass the fig and then blame us cuz it's "only a collector's line."
@Captain Zero: There are a lot of us happy its not by Mattel.
