    Honestly, I think Mo-Larr gets far too much flak. I honestly think that for all the gripes that he's been on the receiving end of; it's ironic how much of a free pass the pre-Eternian stuff gets when it blocks even well known characters like Stinkorr getting released.

    The other thing is, that some of us, such as myself, actually started buying MOTUC figures because of that robot chicken sketch and in turn the 2-Pack.

    Some fans here clearly need some perspective as this is far from the worst thing to ever be done to a classic toy line (Transformers live action movie anyone).

    @dayraven:

    Mo-larr's tooling was paid for by the robot chicken guys so his new parts didn't negate anything new for other figures.

    what about all the other figure's like Vikor who never really appeared other than 1 image? or the green goddess who really didn't exist other than in a few panels(the goddess concept was around a bit more just not the GREEN goddess)

    The Faker in the party sketch was vastly superior.Even the Gi Joe "Fumbles" was great.Waiting for Mattel to make a PoeGhostal figure…

    I tend to agree – Molarr is a one-trick-pony (and it's not tha great a trick) in a Line where you are constantly being fed the line that everything is too expensive to tool up and the whole show might close down unless a figure is guaranteed to sell-out in 3 mins or less.

    A sense of homour is one thing – you need to grit your teeth to laugh along with Matty – but honestly this just wasn't that funny.

    dude, i don't think that's entirely fair… the 200x line has it's fanbase too, and some of us embrace both… i don't recall anyone requesting mo-larr. throw in the number of unique pieces he represented after we'd already been denied accessories that made sense (like shield and axe in faker color, for example) and some folks got a tad hacked… nobody's storming the castle though.

    for my money, i'd have rather seen someone in mythos, like say eldor, get made first… not that mo-larr might not have been a nice addition to the lineup eventually, but based on one marginally funny sketch? come on… the fans are right to be a tad hacked. until he had one really funny appearance that people responded to, or several appearances to establish a fanbase, he's less deserving than the fearless photog.

    Nice, more power to them. Although I didn't think Mo-Larr was the funniest thing in the world, it held a modicum of amusement, and I thought he made for a fun SDCC exclusive.

    It really blows my mind how angrily so many MOTU fans react to the very existence of this character and figure. It's as if they have no imagination or sense of humor, and treat the old MOTU show and line like a sacred cow. I suppose it doesn't surprise me though, as so many of these same "fans" go ape shit over 200X in the same fashion. They refuse to even admit how great the 4H designs were because they refuse to embrace even an inkling of change.
