Vintage Toy Ads > Balzac

I remember my cousin Mike and I laughing about this ad every single time we saw it. “Us two Balzacs are where it’s at!” *Cue missed high-five*

  • You just try marketing a toy today called a Balzac. We'll see your face on the Post Office wall likety split.

    Bad pun. Sorry.

The funny thing is, I always jokingly sang that theme song to my wife to annoy her….and it turns out, we were walking through Disney World, and they still sell these things in kiosks around the park. Kind of odd.

  • @ dwaltrip:

I was going to say… I'm shocked that they are literally ALL over epcot.. and in all the years of going there, and seeing them (and I'm shocked they are still there) I have NEVER seen a single person buy one… EVER.. I feel bad for the people who man the kiosks

Oh yeah, thats right…it is Epcot that they are at. I can picture a kiosk right in that corridor going from the center Innoventions hub towards The Land. And yes, much like you, I have never see anyone buy one either. I am surprised it is still there considering. I can't imagine there is a lot of demand for them while you are at Epcot?? Oh well.

  • I feel sorry for that dude… He surely aspired to be a "Fresh Prince" with his rap career, but ended up as the Balzac guy instead. The part where he drank from the fire hydrant was really sad.
