Bandai has passed along some hi-res pics of their new Thundercats product.
There are no pics of the 6″ or 8″ figures, but there are plenty of pics of the 4″ playset, vehicles, and roleplay toys. These are the toys the kids are going to enjoy more than the collectors, but it certainly appears Bandai is prepared to give Thundercats the full product treatment.
I think the coolest thing in the assortment below is the roleplay Sword of Omens, which is as close as collectors are going to get to a real one without spending hundreds of dollars on a custom. The Thundertank is pretty great too, and I like the little lizard dude with the cannon.
Pics after the jump. By the way, click on any spot outside the photo frame to get back to the page (for some reason the “close” button doesn’t work).

I really, REALLY hope that the "clear" Lion-O that comes with the Tower of Omens serves some useful purpose in the show. Honestly, shouldn't it be Tygra, though? Y'know, 'cause of his invisibility thingee?
@ Ben:
It is Tygra. Zoom in on the picture and you can see his hairstyle pretty clearly. I was wondering why this figure was included; I'm not very well versed in Thundercats lore.

Thank goodness! I had read somewhere it was Lion-O. I'm glad that wasn't true!
Role playing sword of omens is where my non-T-cats figure money will go!

Probably Topless Robot. Shame on Rob! To be fair, not knowing anything about Thundercats I would have made the same mistake, but–for shame!
It all looks great I can't wait until all this is in the shops and I go on a spending spree.
I know the changes were only slight, but I really wish they hadn't touched the Sword of Omens. I think it was perfect in its original construction.
Look at me, thinking something as it was envisioned in the '80s was perfect!
For being their 3 3/4" product I think it's shaping up nicely. Without a doubt I'm liking what I see so far. I'm absorbing the "look" of this new cartoon and I'm liking it. The Thundertank is looking awesome and the role play swords are very cool and sleek. Yeah, they may be on the small side in one of our hands but if its comparable in size to the 200X role play sword I'll gladly get one.
I know it's not a castle but the "entrance gate" for the Tower favors the Castle Grayskull entrance a bit and I like it.
Is it mean to say that I think this stuff looks way better than the kids Green Lantern toys?
For what TR's Rob lacks in character identification he makes up for in an accurate description of that playset. It looks sparse, almost like these are just accessories for an actual playset. To be fair, it is a very honest photo as opposed to the packaging pics and TV ads we see with dramatic lighting and backgrounds that can't be recreated at home.
I guess it all depends on if they spread to stuff out in a large box for a high price or pack it tightly in a way that it could be a decent value for a few action features and a nifty little vehicular homage to the classic Cat's Lair.
The Thundertank looks great!
