given what a pack of picky bitches toy collectors can be, i think it's an amazingly ballsy statement when a company releases hi-res photos of their figs head of time. notice, even the big guys like mattel, not a f&cking chance, we've noticed too many flaws ahead of time even with their "thumbnail only" policy, they wouldn't dare put out one of their 27 dollar abortions in high-res for us to nitpick four months out. and i don't blame them, if i had a 3 inch dick, i wouldn't do porn, know what i'm sayin?

Well, another danger is that prototypes often look better than the final product, so showing off the hi-res images could disappoint fans when they get the figure. Although at least in terms of detail, the images Tamashii Nations shows usually match up pretty well to the final product (the engineering and QC is where the problems occur).
