Odds ‘n Ends > The Four Horsemen get a new site, Mordles arrive, Biollante to spring up in November

odds_ends_11

  • The Four Horsemen have opened a new website, SourceHorsemen.com. This is the third 4H website (after FantasticExclusive.com and Fourhoursemen.biz – and I can remember at least two iterations of the latter). Hopefully this one provides them with a long-term home.
  • On a related note, you may have noticed in the pic on SourceHorsemen that the Four Horsemen aren’t so “Four” anymore. That’s because Chris Dahlberg evidently left. I don’t know anything about it, but there’s no evidence it was anything but friendly. (And he already has a website – tip ‘o the hat to Poester Dayraven for the tip.)
  • If you’ve joined Club Mordle, then the Mordles are on sale now. You should have received an email with a link to order. The toys will open up to the general public next Friday, June 28 at the ToyFinity store.
  • Gird your wallet, fans of S.H.MonsterArts: Biollante (shown in prototype last October) is coming in late fall. No word on price yet, but $200-$250 wouldn’t surprise me (I’d bet it will end up in the $175-$225 range, though). This is something of a big deal because there really aren’t a whole lot of Biollante toys, and those that exist go for a ton of money these days.

Did anyone else catch the Superboy Conner prototype? and Blue Sinestro Batman for the DCUC, I'm also seeing 200X Adam in MOTUC style. Its on the homepage.

that isn't a MOTUC 200X version of adam. That is just the 200X adam.

Gah! So this is the year they decided to make or remake EVERY TOY I EVER WANTED AS A KID– Mordles, MP Soundwave, Star Wars 6 Inch, Showa Godzilla, Biollante, Castle Grayskull, Horde Troopers, ED-209, Bebop and Rocksteady, and now… SPIDER GREMLIN!!!! And I'm sure I'm leaving something out.

I hear you on that! It's the first year in a long time I've had to make some real hard choices about what to get now, and what I can sleep on and catch up to in later years. Godzilla has been rough, as there's a ton of great new things coming, but also so many people dumping their collections of older stuff. It's seems a little feast or famine sometimes. 😀

This news would explain why PowerCon only listed 3 of the 4 Horsemen as guests at this year's convention.

  4. So Biollante will have light-up features and cost about $230, so just above the top of the range I was expecting. Ouch. Gonna have to save up for this one.

Was just googling to figure this out. It is weird. Can't be that it was all amicable, otherwise you'd think they'd have put out a nice statement instead of quietly listing the remaining three on the new site as though the followers in the Cult of 4H wouldn't notice. I hope it was amicable, though. They did some nice work together.

    My Mordles arrive today!

DILEMMA: I still own two of the original Mordles. And I have them… I just don't know which box they're in. And I want to review these guys for Nerditis, so….

Nah, if I find them, there'll be a picture. If not, I'll use a stock photo or something. Besides, I have some of Godbeast's repro mordles, though I don't want to badmouth him so I won't bring them up (really fragile resin)

on the subject of mr dahlberg, he already has a new site up too: http://www.bergerinc.biz/ he takes commissions…. can you even friggin imagine how cool it would be to have a dahlberg one of a kind? if he'd do a one-off, i don't know that for sure, maybe he'll only do prototyping kinds of jobs? might be worth an interview, eh mr ghostal?
