Are you one of those people who always intend to do a bunch of Halloween decorating, and yet life just gets in the way and you’re lucky if you remember to sticky-tack up those card-paper generic vampire and skeleton heads you bought at iParty because they reminded you of the ones your parents bought in the ’80s?
I know I am!
That’s why I loved this idea from Dinosaur Dracula: the Halloween Mood Table! (He actually had the idea last year as well, but I missed it.) It’s simple: just take a small table or other flat object and pile all sorts of Halloween or horror-related goodies on it and presto! Instant mood-setter for the house!
This form of decorating is perfect for two particular categories of humanity that I represent: specifically, those known as “action figure collectors” and “lazy.”
Anyway, here’s my mood table for 2013:
I've been working on a Halloween mood table/shelf for the past couple weeks, but the aformentioned laziness has hindered my progress.
I have always felt like I should be more into Halloween than I am, but I almost never even dress up, let alone decorate. If I didn't have a kid, I'd turn out the lights so kids would assume no one was home.
I love Halloween in theory. In reality, it does nothing much for me.
Whoa…. where's Scareglow?
Love Prime Evil.
My wife and I do this every year but for Christmas, we set up a table with a nativity scene with a different nerdy fun theme each year. This year it's going to be Star Wars; last year it was Mazinger Z themed.
I do this with my mantle, but it's all LEGO. This year includes Borgin & Burkes, Hagrid's Hut, Arkham Asylum and Rivendell with changing leaves… all overrun with Daleks and zombies!
My entire Lego display is a giant haunted town! I love the idea of using the Daleks, though.
What is that Hellboy Squarepants there? Love it!
I'm determined to actually have some Halloween fun this year, but I have not set up anything yet. Here's last year's display http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb4/PresidentJ…
…my Halloween "decorations" never get put away. So I'm pretty much always ready for Halloween.
I love Prime Evil! Great job!
mega ultimate success, po
love your table and the idea!
