Mattel was so intent on keeping Megator’s secret accessory a secret, they actually removed it from the samples they sent out to reviewers like Pixel Dan. It was a good effort, but in the end they were saved from themselves (more on that in a moment) by one of those sketchy eBay sellers.
Don’t click below (and you may want to keep your eyes away from the “Recent Comments” in the sidebar) if you don’t want the surprise to be spoiled. Note to Poesters: Please don’t discuss the Megator secret accessory anywhere else but this discussion thread (and that includes the forum).

Yup–zombie head! You may recall that Megator’s bio states that King Hsss resurrects him as a zombie–well, here’s the zombie version.
Two things to note:
1.) I’ve often said I hate soft goods in all its forms, but the exception proves the rule and Megator’s scraggly rooted hair here is an exception. It perfectly frames that priceless, 1960s-style zombie expression. This will be the head I’ll be displaying him with.
2.) I really hope Mattel had some sort of plan to do a big reveal of the zombie head before Megator went on sale, because if not, that’s some of the worst marketing planning ever. There are a lot of MOTUC fans who would be willing and able to buy two Megators, one to display with each head, and with this reveal I guarantee you they just sold a lot more Megators.
Finally, I can’t help but feel like that head reminds me of…someone. Maybe a lot of people, actually. Who do you think it looks like? Post links to pics, and the person who comes closest will get…something. I’m not sure what yet.
