Paul’s Peg > I Needs a Spider-Woman Bad

Now that we’re a couple of waves into the 3 3/4th inch Marvel Universe line from Hasbro, what’s everyone’s thoughts on them? I’ve been sort of happy with the line except for one big problem, the cost. It sucks paying eight bucks for one figure. It’s really limited what I get. Instead of buying a bunch of ninjas for Wolverine to fight, I have zero and I’m super picky about what heroes and villains I do pick up. I’m still on board with the line though, and I’m looking towards the future for some of the upcoming figures. The next comic wave in particular has got me school girl excited.

The Hulk/Cyclops pack is a good set because you get a better looking Hulk combined with a Cyclops that I wouldn’t mind owning. Seriously, is it just me or did that first green Hulk not look like Hulk enough? The black Spider-Man/Magneto pack is pure win (to borrow a phrase the kids are using), particularly because I’ve resisted the urge to purchase a black costumed Spider-Man. Now I can get him and a kick arse Magneto together in one set and not feel guilty on dropping eight bucks on a Spider-Man repaint. The Iron Man/Spider-Woman set is a must have. I’m completely insane for female spin-off characters, so this is right up my alley. The problem here is I already own the classic Iron Man, so I’m not really sure what to do with him.

So my advice to the folks in castle Hasbro would be to keep on making awesome figures and lower the damned price. I want to have a huge plethora of Marvel superheroes, but I can’t. Or maybe they could even just send me whole cases of figures for free. I think that would work out even better.
