SpyMagician over at AFI has again made me hate him with his review of an early production sample of He-Ro. The review includes a look at the SDCC sticker and a better look at the bio.
It turns out the “sword of life” is actually the “sword of He.” Plenty of fans over at He-Man.org are unhappy with this idea, but I think it works. It’s sort of like Ra. Buuuut I can see how someone could think it was stupid. I also wish they’d gone with He-Ro’s original real name, “Gray,” but I suppose that might be confusing given the presence of King Grayskull in this canon.
After getting a good look at the black-molded translucent Power Sword, I do wish we could get it as a variant. It looks very cool, like a galaxy contained within a sword.
As for the figure itself–looks great. Can’t wait.

@Mario: My friend who posts here as well said…"Wouldn't it be cool if Mario was actually Mario Lopez! lol………y'know…because Mario's a big motu fan.
Mario
Black Sword & purple stone!
God Poe, I know what you mean about hating Spy Magician.

I love the black sword! It would be cool if we got it as a secret accessory later on! *Fingers crossed* The blue sowrd is growing on me. Hopefully He-Ro won't be as hard to obtain as Faker. I'm glad Mattel plans on eventually rereleasing some of the figures. I really want Faker and King Grayskull now! These are the best pictures I've seen of He-Ro!

I'm with you about the black sword. I added it to my Weapons Pack request!
The silly sticker is growing on me. I kinda want one from the Con now. It's irrelevantly hidden, but it would make me chuckle everytime I think about it under there.

Damn, he's really shaping up to be a great figure! I wish Mattel would be a bit more free with sending out those production samples; I do reviews too, and would be happy to feature them on my review blog! I agree about the black sword as apposed to the blue one, but the weapons pack connection is really cool, too. The half armor didn't bother me with Hordak, but I think it works better here. The design sensiblity reminds me of the Roman armor, which mimicked the musculature of the male torso. I'm diggin' it.
