That was a fun figure. The neck has had to be repaired a couple of times but I still have it.

  2. I saw the Broderick one. While it certainly wasn't a good movie, it wasn't awful, either. Well, aspects were awful, but there were a surprising number of clever moments.

Also, sorry to restate the obvious, but that toy does, in fact, rock. I'm embarrassed to confess I've got no pun to offer, though.

They made two movies actually. One with a non-Gadgety Matthew Broderick, and one with French Stewart, who seems better suited to it, though I haven't seen it.

  4. Looks like a cool toy. Gadget figures go for a pretty penny. No pun intended.

  5. @MechaShiva: Now that you mention it, the chief on MONK does look like Chief Quimby… Did you know Ted Levine, who plays the chief on MONK also played Jame Gumb aka Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs?

If they ever make an Inspector Gadget movie, I want Tony Shaloub to play Uncle Gadget! =)

Can't wait to get my CLAW on this one.
Funny that the Monk tv series reminds me of Inspector Gadget, even the police chief in the TV show looks the same as in the Cartoon.

lol – Nice Pun Newton Gimmick… you really used your Brain for that one! 😉

I owned this toy when I was a kid and loved it! It's really awesome… it got pretty thrashed though, and he ended up with one arm and missing the other hand (it fired like a missile)… I got a lot of play value out of it (reminds me of what my Nephew did to his giant Buzz Lightyear figure which was about the same size).
