You too can turn your He-Man from a gray harness-wearing barbarian with only mild fashion issues to a full-blown atrocity that would drive Tim Gunn to use his namesake on himself. How, you ask? By winning the PGPoA “Choose Your Weapon” contest! The prize is a brand-spanking-new, still-in-the-white-mailer MOTUC Weapons Pak. (Read the official PGPoA review!)
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below naming your favorite action figure accessory of all time. Feel free to go into detail as to why it’s your favorite, but all you have to do to enter is name it and the figure it came with.
RÃœLZ:
- Contest ends on Sunday, May 9th at 11:59pm.
- The winner will be selected at random.
- Only U.S. and Canadian residents are eligible. I know there are lots of Poesters in other countries and I love you all, but those shipping costs are getting painful.
- Only one entry per person. I check IPs and so forth, but really, just don’t be a jerk.

In the 80's I would have literally given any individual toy I had in exchange for a GIJoe Shipwreck figure JUST so I could have the parrot.
I don't know why I was so fixated on it, but I desperately wanted one and my parents could never find him at the store, and anyone who had him used was missing the parrot.

Got to be Scareglow's reliquar or how you call it – it's just piece of such great detail accessory!
Btw I know I'm not from US but be glad to cover the postage should I win ;->

Original He-Man and his shield. Why, Because back in the day when I first got him. I opened up the package and lost the shield on the way home from the store…very memerable. 🙂

1st off thx for the contest! Lot of good accessories have been mentioned. I'll say one I didn't see. Sectaurs, they came with giant bugs that were like pet figures and they did different stuff like squirt water or they had grappling hooks that the Sectaur Warriors could use.

the old toy biz Cable cyborg was the best. half of his face was removable! and a little patch on his arm. i think it would be criminal to not nominate half of a man's face and a patch of arm skin as the best accessories ever. but seriously, i loved that toy as a kid. Cable could go full-on terminator and his hand was the right size to hold just about everyone else's gun (and his own) so there was never a weapon shortage.
come to think of it, i really miss that toy line as a whole. sure marvel legends is technically better, but… nostalgia wins

My favorite accessory is the sword that came with shower power catra. I always thought catra's shield though beast like really didn't define her character as it could have been anybody's, but the cat motif in the hilt of the sword given to her definitely screamed "this is catra's weapon!" A close second was the second edition she-ra sword that looked more like the He-man sword than the first edition, but just the design of catra's sword gives it the edge –no pun intended! 🙂

My favorite action accessory is actually built in, it`s the Toy Biz Batman retracting belt!! This is my favorite because I spent days at a time playing with him and that accessory added the realism from the movie to a 12 year old.I still love that movie!!!
Sabretooth
My favorite accesorry is the Havoc Staff that came with MOTUC Skeletor. A very nice upgrade of the vintage accessory. A weapon that only the true Overlord of Evil can carry!!!!
Todd
My favorite accessory was the championship belts that came with the the old LJN wrestling figures.
Mr Squirtle
Some serious thinking to do here but I got to go with Transformers Headmasters. Getting a little pilot figure in addition to the big robot was amazing, and tying it in by having him form the head was genius. Seems obviously now, but as a child at the time it was ingenious!

Definitely the flimsy cardboard crates from the Indiana Jones line. The artifacts I don't even care about.. just the crates. Fantastic and always useful for pictures, I just love those things!
Dedboy
My favorite accessories of all time were the little glow-in-the-dark baby ninja turtles that came in the canisters of TMNT ooze back in the day! There were also some baby ninja turtles that stood upright and some little splinters later in the series, but the glow-in-the-dark baby turtles w/ninja bandanas were the coolest!!!

Favorite accessories are many….but the one that was coolest to me was the Megalaser! wind it up…let the beams fly! My imagination could picture the pulse rounds just pulverizing everything!…..need to wipe drool from my chin….
AlienMooCow
My favorite action figure accessory would be the dead body in the pine box with the Mcfarlane Six Faces of Madness Series "Billy the Kid".
Jean
My favorite accessory as a kid was Clamp Champ's clamp. I always enjoyed the spring loaded mechanism, well, when it wasn't jamming and you had to pull the mandibles out, that was always a pain in the butt.

The best accessory EVER has got to be the long awaited MOTUC PRINCE ADAM, stuffed in as an extra with ORKO. Not only is he an "accessory" to Orko, but he actually comes with an extra head AND his magenta sword! You won't ever find a better extra for a fig than those!

I'm not eligible to enter in the contest due to my geographic location, but I still want to participate in the discussion, so… My all time favorite action figure accessory is vintage Tytus' people catcher. Reason for that is, that it is different than any other action figure accessory I've personally ever seen. I mean, you can use it to catch and lift up other action figures, which is so cool, especially when I was 7-years old (at least before I ate those softer grapping parts of that weapon).

Wow, tough question to answer!
I guess my favorite accessory ever would be the Doop that came with Deadpool in the old Marvel Legends Line.
John
My favorite accessory is the ripcord. It always meant that there was some cool action feature for the figure. Be it the way MOTU Orko would dance around or MOTU Dragstor would race across my mom's kitchen floor.
Thanks,
John
Dr Kain
My favorite weapon of all time is the Soul Reaver that came with the Legacy of Kain Kain figures from Blue Box Toys. It is just such a unique and interesting design that it is hard not to love.
