One of my favorite theories about Optikk is that he’s just some sort of weird, inhuman creature inside a big robotic suit (a la the Daleks). Spawn board member Dragonblaster took that idea and made it an awesome custom out of it.
Note to Dragonblaster: get a peg on that socket, cast some molds in green and I guarantee the fans will pay for these things.

This is exactly how I think of him. A lot of little weird eyeball squids that live in a fog zone.
I'd happily buy one of these if it was produced. Too bad this squid body was included with the figure instead of his shield.

Cool Idea, but I don't think the real Optikk is something like that custom. He's inhuman, but the eye is not part of his anatomy.
In my imagination, his eye is part of the mechanical suit, a unbreakable helmet shaped like a giant eyeball and not a unprotected and fragile eyeball.
That custom is cool, btw. He could be Optikk's version of Triklops' doomseeker. I would buy one for the alternate eye.

It's a neat idea but with one tiny problem – if you look closely, Optikk's iris has circuitry around the edges, which indicates that his eye is probably mechanical and not organic.

That's the way I think of Optikk. Otherwise if he is just some normal human dude with an eyeball for a head it isn't that exciting.
