Happy Count Marzo Day!

No offense to you non-subscribers, but man, it’s nice to have a month off.

How quickly will this minor villain from the Millennium cartoon sell out? Your guess is as good as mine.

@MegaGearX: You're right! I threw in a couple 200x dvds in over the weekend. Marzo did kick some serious butt! He basically waltzed into the Eternian palace without so much as breaking a sweat!

My Marzos arrived today. He looks good. Can't wait to get home and play with him and the rest of my figures.

@misterbigbo: Within only 5 episodes, 200X Marzo has done more than most established characters–fighting King Miro, kicking He-Man and the Master's asses, teaming up with Skeletor and his Council of Evil (and kicking He-Man's ass again with magic) and bitch smacking Evil-Lyn.

It seems to me, if they are going to offer these waves on Matty Collector, they should put them on sale on or around the time they start hitting shelves. Wave 13 has been out well over a month now. I can only think they must have some sort of contract or agreement with their stores/etailers that they won't sell 'em prior to. But won't they make the same profits from selling the waves firsthand themselves rather than from BBTS or Enchanted Toy chest?

Got a sub and pre-ordered DCUC Wave 13 from BBTS so I was equally glad to have a month off, especially this month since I’m making a trip out of town for a concert and I’ll need the dough for gas, food, merch, and hookers. J/K

However, I’m sure August will provide an anal plunging of ungodly proportions.

I’m a subscriber. Marzo went to Ebay and sat there with the 500 other Marzo’s. At least I got my money back on him. While I don’t care about this particular character, I hope Mattel still tries to explore characters on this nature…But more from the original line.

Wow, I’m obsessed with this line and I totally forgot. You know why? I was at WORK!! You know, like many people are at that hour. Saw the date at one point and freaked out in my head.

Because he’s Marzo and not Sorceress or something, I snagged one on eBay for $33 shipped. $4.30 more than Matty after shipping isn’t bad considering I’ll be getting paid for the hour of work I didn’t have to skip. It’s actually pretty depressing that $33 was an amazing deal for a single action figure.

@Dead Man Walking: That’s funny. And depressing.

  9. Reverend Ender

I am up for a trade as I couldn’t afford him this month and I refuse to pay $8 shipping on one figure anyway.

Despite those things, I AM a big fan of Marzo.

  10. Thrawn

It was so nice to be able to not have to deal with Matty today. I bought one sub, but I want a second Whiplash, so next month is going to be a nightmare. I'm sure he will be another 15 minute sell out.

  11. Nicholai

@americanhyena: I’ll sell/trade my subscription one. Marzo does not interest me.

  12. Dead Man Walking

    @misterbigbo: Under 1 hour.

  13. Josh

I’m on vacation with the family out of the beach with nearly no internet. My grandmother actually reminded me that a sale was probably coming up. I was lucky enough to snag two Marzo’s with relatively no problem. I never buy multiples of toys but since I missed out on a couple I really wanted (Moss Man, I will always love you!), I figured maybe I could trade.

  14. Valo487

    Marzo now sold out.

  15. Matty was smart this month– only two offerings on one day vs. the disaster of the She-Ra/Keldor/Faker debacle. As such, the experience was much much simpler.

However, I anticipated that 8/2 will be a disaster of Biblical proportions. I just want my Starro set– and the boxed figure of Orko standing over the body of Prince Adam.

  16. De-Man

Well, that’s it. Mattel is going to end the line.
