Alright. I never followed the 200x stuff, but where does this come from? Was it an episode from 200x? Is it an original idea? What is the reason for SMAA? Just curious is all. Thanks!

    • Yes, Man-At-Arms is changed into a Snake Man in the 200X episode "Second Skin." The circumstances in which he gets changed into a Snake Man are, I think, different in the MOTUC canon, and it's possibly a much longer time before he returns to human form.

OK. Thanks! Now I get it.

  2. Wish they'd hurry up and reissue the original Man-At-Arms. I missed him before and I want to get three of them.

I got the sub, so I'll be getting this one. Might just leave him sealed, and I'm an opener. Depends on what else is in his box.

Wow. The first fig from my sub since they started that I'll be selling off.

  4. There was a Q about the arm canon, didn't seem hopeful. I know what Dead Man Walking is saying is true, but they seem so decent in person when they unveil it. It seems like their intentions are good. I see it as a way to get a vintage Man at arms (1st release with no moustache) and a 200x one (snake body with moustachio'd head)

  5. Someone needs to make either a Teela in Palace Guard gear or a new female character in Palace Guard gear and call her Madame Arms.

Presumably a thousand nerds at the .org have already done it, actually.

I hope he gets his 200X Arm Cannon and Unhelmeted head. Those are essential 200X Man-At-Arms accessories.

They really do need to start releasing “head only” packs for some of these variants they keep making. I’m sure that if they put out Helmetless Evil-Lynn, Alcala Skeletor, Snake Man-at-Arms and Horde Prime (UK comics version) as one 4-head-in-a-box pack it would sell like crazy, to customizers and completists alike.

    • Dead Man Walking

That's the point. If they sell 5 heads for $20, they are selling 5 characters for $20. If they make you buy a whole figure with each head, they sell 5 characters for $100.

Well I'd buy a Full Alcala Skeletor cause he'd look closer to the EVIL 200X Skeletor that Mattel is so Hellbent on NOT making…

  9. Dead Man Walking

Guys, this is the company that makes you buy a Prototype Batman to get a Commissioner Gordon, a white Sorceress to get a Graysull orb stand, another Skeletor to get Mo Larr, and a Hawkman to get a Blue Wing Stratos. Let's not be naive. That they are giving us a Skeletor head with Demo Man is highly out of character, and one of the nicest things they've ever done. Of course they know people will buy a fully Alcala Skeletor down the road, so they don't really care.

The head does look great. Mattel has already said that the figure isn't complete yet and will have a different paint job, so I'm waiting to see what they show as a finished figure. Still, it probably would have been better if they had just showed the head and accessory seperately since I can understand why some folks would be upset over receiving an expensive figure with just a new head and a new accessory.

The headsculpt is nice, but why couldn't they go the Demo Man way with him if the only new thing on him is the head?
Right now, it needs a LOT more than a snake head and a possible die cast Serpent Ring to make me buy him at Cherry Picker price…

Awesome picture, Poe. I really like this guy, myself, and all the unreasonable nerd rage over ar the .org just makes me like him that much better.
