Happy Snout Spout Day!

I’m not sure I would ever have thought we’d get to today, when Snout Spout, Eternia’s answer to Joseph Merrick, is added to everyone’s Masters of the Universe collections.

Of course, this is also the first time since…man, I don’t even remember, maybe the Eternian Palace Guards?–that I have to go onto Mattycollector and order something, namely, Bubble Power She-Ra. If I don’t, I apparently won’t own a She-Ra who can ride Swift Wind. The question is, did Mattel make as many BP She-Ras as they made Swift Winds? Color me skeptical. I just hope I survive the experience.

For those of you without subscriptions, Swift Wind, the tough-talking, incredibly girly-looking unicorn/pegasus hybrid, is also on sale, along with all the DC Universe Classics Wave 18 figures; the JLU 7-Pack of Gypsy, Crimson Avenger, Johnny Thunder, Thunderbolt w/stand, Dr. Mid-Nite, Speedy, The Creeper; and all of the DC Universe Retro Action figures at the not-so-low price of $20 each. I suspect the Retro Action figures will show up in a sale at a substantially lower price before Christmas, so you might want to wait on that.

There’s also a big JLU deal going on for the remaining stock over the next few days–you can read all the details here.

  1. Bronze Tiger and Captain Boomerang were gone instantly! I needed that TIger. Picked up She-Ra and the El Dorado I needed pretty quickly. El Dorado makes the shipping a little less painful since it's spread out, but today's order combined with the sub items makes shipping pretty high this month.

2 hours late, missed Snout Spout, got Swift Wind and She-Ra though.

Snout Spout is listed as still for sale. "Almost Gone", but still up.

  3. Thrawn

I actually forgot until about 12:05. I was able to get my Bubble Power She-Ras (Can't believe I typed that) without any incidence. I was in and out between 10-15 minutes.

Real painless. If Mattel made similar quantities of Wind Raiders we should be fine next month.

  4. Tempting to get Swift Wind for my Jonah Hex figure, but somehow I'll restrain myself.

  5. JediCreeper

I was able to do it off of my phone as I waited for my computer to boot… which is to say, everything went ridiculously easily and quickly. I'm actually shocked. I almost got retro Shazam, but I also figured they might have a christmas sale, so I'll wait. though I was a little surprised that Batman and Superman sold out

  6. Snout Spout is almost out of stock according to Matty's site! Hooray Hose-Head! I knew you could do it!

  7. Sledgehama

Mostly a fine experience for me except for half of DC Universe wave 18 disappearing from my basket one figure at a time. Very surprised that they sold out so quickly – can't have been much stock listed I suppose. Oh well, off to eBay for the half the wave I'm missing I guess.

  8. Battle Catman

Logged on at 12:06, done by 12:12. A She-Ra for me and a friend.

  9. I was in a meeting, but Dr. Mrs. Ghostal got my Bubble Power She-Ra with no problems. Now the hard part–living down the embarrassment! I kid, I kid…

  10. Snarf! Snarf!

Dumb site logged me out in the middle of payment info… WHen I logged back in I had nothing on the cart… got in, got out in a snap after that scare…

In and done with BP She-ra in ten minutes. A few WSODs along the way, but no real hassle. First time I've had a great experience w/ DRI in the last couple of years.

In and out without issue. Good thing too, as I pretty much forgot all about this.

I actually had to set my alarm today to make sure I'd be up (being on the west coast). First time I've had to do that in ages.

    Ah, memories.

Done in less than 5 minutes.

I debated getting Bronze Tiger and Toyman too but after close to $170 (one each of all the MOTUC stuff for me and one each for my buddy) I felt like SOME restraint was in order.
