Poester Power Pal Pixel Dan, who recently stepped down as Senior Editor of Popculturenetwork.com, has revealed his latest project: Pixel-Dan.com, a site that will serve both as a one-stop-shop for his popular video reviews as well as posting his thoughts on some of the latest news and info coming from the world of toys and collecting.

What’s more, Pixel Dan revealed the first teaser pic of the MOTUC version of his personal obsession, Mosquitor!

To celebrate the opening of his new site, Dan kindly agreed to answer a couple of questions about it.

PG: The site looks great, PD! What led you to create it?

PD: A common question I often get asked is ‘How can I easily find xxx reviews?‘ I’ve done so much work for sites like He-Man.org and Pop Culture Network and have always had a place to post my work. But aside from my YouTube page, I didn’t really have one place I could point to and say “Here you go! There’s all my stuff!” Starting up my own site just seemed like the logical thing to do. I wanted a place where I could easily post an archive of my video reviews, as well as have a place to post my new stuff and some personal commentary on toy-related news discussion. The biggest reaction I’m getting since launching the site is ‘I can’t believe it took you so long to do this.‘ So I think I’ve done right. 🙂

The Mosquitor reveal was a big scoop. How did it come about?

The Mosquitor reveal was an amazing piece that just fell right into place. I had already let Mattel know that I was opening up the site, of which they were very supportive of. Then the Friday before launch, I got an e-mail from them containing the teaser pic, letting me know that I had the honor of making the announcement whenever I was ready to. I was ecstatic! After I calmed down from my initial excitement over my favorite MOTU character getting a release in Classics, I realized this was going to be the perfect way to kick things off at the new site.
