Spider-Man/Lizard Contest > & the Winner is…

The winner of the contest for the Spider-Man/Lizard figures has been chosen by sponsor FigureOfTheDay!

First off, here’s the paragraph I wrote before starting the contest:

“SPIDER-MAN [VERB]S SUPERVILLAIN!” screamed the headline of the Daily Bugle. The article below told the story: the famed webslinger had been sighted on top of the Empire State Building, battling with a ne’er-do-well who called himself the [ADJECTIVE] [ANIMAL]. At one point, the villain had Spider-Man cornered; faced with certain death, Spidey was heard to shout “[EXCLAMATION]!” before escaping the villain’s clutches and quickly defeating him.

The runners-up, as chosen by FOTD, are:

Andrew Yowaiski:
“SPIDER-MAN RE-ANIMATES SUPERVILLAIN!” screamed the headline of the Daily Bugle. The article below told the story: the famed webslinger had been sighted on top of the Empire State Building, battling with a ne’er-do-well who called himself the Porous Parrot. At one point, the villain had Spider-Man cornered; faced with certain death, Spidey was heard to shout “Great googly moogly!” before escaping the villain’s clutches and quickly defeating him.

Barbecue17:
“SPIDER-MAN SHELLACKS SUPERVILLAIN!” screamed the headline of the Daily Bugle. The article below told the story: the famed webslinger had been sighted on top of the Empire State Building, battling with a ne’er-do-well who called himself the Homely White-Faced Saki Monkey. At one point, the villain had Spider-Man cornered; faced with certain death, Spidey was heard to shout “The Power of Christ compels you!” before escaping the villain’s clutches and quickly defeating him.

And the grand prize winner is…

T16skyhopp
“SPIDER-MAN BELLY-FLOPS SUPERVILLAIN!” screamed the headline of the Daily Bugle. The article below told the story: the famed webslinger had been sighted on top of the Empire State Building, battling with a ne’er-do-well who called himself the Ribbed (For Her Pleasure) Lobster. At one point, the villain had Spider-Man cornered; faced with certain death, Spidey was heard to shout “ARGH!” before escaping the villain’s clutches and quickly defeating him.

    Congratulations, guys!

  3. I now feel my pirate "ARGH" is completely underwhelming given the situation though. I have to assume Ribbed (for her pleasure) Lobster was what put me up front.

I must design him at some point.

    • To be fair, "argh" is probably the most likely response of the three when "faced with certain death."

    Congrats man!

This is actually my 2nd honorable mention from ToftheDay. Hopefully someday they will give me the prize!!
