Poe’s Pick of the Week > S.H.MonsterArts Biollante
Here it is – the mother of all S.H.MonsterArts figures. It’s doubtful there will ever be a bigger S.H.MonsterArts figure. There aren’t a whole lot of Biollante figures out there, but those that are tend to be both rare and extremely expensive. And this one’s super-articulated! Tamashii is hinting we may get a BioGoji to go with it, which would make me very happy.
Poe’s Pick of the Week > 2013 Star Wars 6″ Black Series 01 – Case / Set of 4

Hasbro’s 6″ Star Wars Black line is finally up for pre-order. BBTS says they’re due in July, though I’d bet it’ll be closer to early August.

Poe’s Pick of the Week > Batman Arkham City 6″ Action Figure Two Pack – Batman & Bane
These don’t actually appear to be Arkham City figures – they appear to be reissues of the original Arkham Asylum figures, including the original Batman and the now-impossible-to-get Bane (although Bane’s legs look a little different, so this may be a retooled figure with more articulation – they may both be for all I know). Anyway, if you missed these the first time around, here’s your chance.

Collectors gave a…collective cry of sadness when Max Factory’s Figma Link was ignominiously cancelled from North American pre-orders due to licensing issues. Fortunately, the issues have been resolved, a new production run has been issued and Link will ship in late 2013. (Oh, and Samus is back, too.)
Poe’s Pick of the Week: Transformers Encore Fortress Maximus ($330)
I’m proud to say I owned this big bad boy as a kid. It was probably the most indulgent toy purchase my parents ever made for me. It wasn’t quite the equivalent of a G.I. Joe kid getting the U.S.S. Flagg – that thing was seven feet long, after all – but it was close.
This thing was amazing. It was absolutely massive, dwarfing every other toy I ever owned both then and now. It came with five different characters if you count Maximus, Cerebro, Spike, Gasket and Grommet. It had more fun little nooks and crannies than an English muffin. I particularly enjoyed tossing figures in the little jail cell in his leg.
I’m sorely tempted by this encore release, but those S.H.MonsterArts figures aren’t cheap. Painful, painful decisions. Still, for those of you who have the money and the space, here’s your chance to own one of the greatest Transformers ever made.
Poe’s Pick of the Week: 1:15 Scale K.I.T.T. with Lights & Sounds With 3.75″ Michael Knight Exclusive
The Hoff is back! Based on the 1982 TV series Knight Rider, this is the best toy KITT money can buy. Not only does it feature spinning wheels and opening doors, it has lights and sounds, too. The lights pulsate with 5 LEDs in the front sensor bar! But wait, there’s more! Poe’s Pick of the Week: BATMAN CLASSIC 1966 TV FIGURES SERIES 01, 02, BOX SET
We have just listed the first two waves of the Batman Classic 1966 TV Figures, as well as the first box set. The first wave includes Batman, Riddler and Penguin and is listed at $54.99 for the Set of 3; the second wave of Batman Classic 1966 TV figures Case includes two of Joker and one each of Batman, Penguin, Riddler and Surf’s Up Batman, and is priced at $104.99. We have them listed as a Set of 5 (one of each figure) at $94.99, and the Joker singly at $17.99. The new Box Set includes Batman and Robin walking up the side of the building; this two-pack is the only way to get the Robin figure, and is listed at $32.99.
Poe’s Pick of the Week: Aliens 7″ Figure “Genocide” Two-Pack
Based on the classic Dark Horse Comic series from the early ’90s pitting 2 different classes of Xenomorph Warriors against one another. The more common or traditional black-colored Xenomorph clashes with the unique crimson red-colored Xenomorph in an Aliens Civil War.
Both Warrior figures feature over 30 points of articulation and stand over 9″ tall. They include extending inner mouths, bendable tails, and decoration that is exclusive and unique to this set and not available anywhere else!
Poe’s Pick of the Week: Batman 1989 – Michael Keaton – 1/4 Scale Figure
Mattel may be dragging its feet on giving us a 6″ Keaton Batman, but if you like your Batmans nice and big – 18″ big – NECA’s got you covered.
Seriously, how beautiful is that figure? I don’t usually collect the 18″ size but damn, that’s tempting.
