Trailer for Nickelodeon’s TMNT, coming in 2012

Here’s the trailer for Nick’s upcoming 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show. I’m getting a cel-shaded CGI vibe, which…may…or may not work for me. Really not much to go on here, though.

Plus, the show is at least a year away, so this is very much a “teaser,” in pretty much every sense of the word.

Still, I’ve got my fingers crossed for the new toys. Will Playmates learn their lesson and finally give us fully-articulated 3.75″ and/or 6″ TMNT figures? They were moving in that direction when they cancelled all their TMNT product.

I really hope Leo is the main character and not Raph, because Leo can be an awesome hero but when he's mad he is even cooler, but not like self-loathing I mean like MAD! Because Raph is a hot-head but I just don't get why everyone loves him so much?

I can't tell much from that teaser, but I can't wait for the new cartoon. I hope it turns out well. The TMNT cartoon has largely become my definitive version of the turtles now, and that is coming from someone who grew up on the original series.

I too hope the toys have decent articulation. I have most of the newer toys from the TMNT show, but the original toys are still better in my opinion.

Yeah 4H or NECA would equally do a great job. The sculpts on the old original LJNs were great. I think its time we start demanding 4H to do do D&D. 😀

    @ Mark:

D&D figures HELLS yeah!! but if i had my druthers, i'd let the horsemen take it as an in-studio line. that's the only studio i'd trust to get all the fur and leather and buckles and all those textural elements looking right.

NECA would do the next best job though.

I must admit, aside from my dislike of the NECA TMNT designs, it was pretty much only Leo I had a problem with QC wise.

As for the SF figres yeah My Ken, Guile and Akuma were solid but only Ryu's should snapped….did't help that I couldn't return it or get it replaced.

Well I will probably give their GoW figures a chance.

I agree, I wish NECA or one of the big companies would get the rights for some Dungeons and Dragon figures. 🙂

Sorry if my words on the NECA figures were a bit over harsh but aside from the necks the shell design was also bad, especially the rubbery front.

No need to apologise! I was just surprised by your reaction. I generally have only heard good things about the NECA TMNT and NECA in general. I can't save I've had any bad experiences with them. The worst that I had happen to my NECA Turtles was my Leo's katana blade broke at the hilt (I forget how) but I just superglued it back on.

I have no allegiance to NECA, but its a name I know and have had pretty good experience with thus far. I don't buy something just because it says "NECA" on the bottom of the package. Usually its people singing their high praises, especially over other companies. I just know if there was a property that *I* wanted to be made into a toy, I would rather that NECA get them than say *cough*shocka*cough* or McStatues.
